Dr. Gary Clemons has joined Sullivan with his more than 30 years of experience. Von B. Gusa, P.E., Vice President of Eastern Operations for Sullivan, indicated, “I have had the pleasure and privilege of working closely with Gary over the past several months and when the opportunity presented itself to hire him, we jumped at the chance.” Dr. Clemons has been supporting Sullivan in its continued growth in the East, Midwest and Southeast. He fills a vital role in current work and future opportunities for Sullivan. As a Program Manager for Sullivan, Dr. Clemons brings his experience in environmental management, including more than 22 years in hazardous waste-related projects. He has participated as a Project Scientist, Project Leader, and Program Manager for both U.S. EPA and privately-funded projects. He has 22 years experience managing major EPA Superfund contracts in Region IV that have covered the full range of site activities including emergency response, interim removals, and full RI/FS efforts. Dr. Clemons' technical specialty is in pesticide toxicology and biochemistry. Dr. Clemons has his Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Maryland, and both his M.S. and B.S. in Entomology also from the University of Maryland.
