Sullivan International Group as part of the Alliance Compliance Group JV (ACG JV) recently won a contract to assist Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) to provide surveying, removal and/or disposal of asbestos from its general plant property and equipment (PP&E). The scope includes World-wide travel, 8 Regions (of United States Territories), more than 18,000 Navy and Marine Corps non-exempt assets, and has subsequently been modified with an additional funding now totaling more than $1M dollars in work effort. The impact of this project and any information and/or data generated will positively influence the decisions of the Office of the Navy Comptroller, Chief of Naval Operations as well as all Base Realignment and Closure activities still outstanding.
Sullivan International Group and ACG JV were considered for this award following a strong relationship developed from the successful completion and delivery of a “Fast Tracked” OEL Pilot Study earlier in the calendar year. Having the expertise and awareness of NAVFAC SW needs, grounds and equipment; Sullivan and ACG JV are additionally assisting with the development of an unqualified audit opinion of the Department of the Navy’s Other Accrued Environmental Liabilities (OELs). Sullivan and ACG JV are pleased to note that they continue to receive positive feedback from NAVFAC SW consistent with expectations, progress and deliverables. Relationships with other expert companies such as Shaw Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton have promoted NAVFAC SW willingness to expand on the foundations presently being created by the ongoing efforts. As a result Sullivan International Group is looking at broader scopes, an expanded market pool, and potentially larger awards.
Also resulting from this project, Sullivan International Group and ACGJV have increased their internal talent pool and expanded contractor relationships to manage all future developments resulting from the successful completion of this Contract Task Order.
