Staff Participation in Civic and Community Activities

Community involvement is an important core value at Sullivan International Group. Over the past 15 years, Sullivan’s founder, Steve Sullivan, has made it a key part of the company’s corporate culture. Steve really learned to appreciate community outreach when he was in the Navy; at almost every command he served at while on active duty, he was involved in community outreach that helped instill the importance of giving back when your able to whether its time, money or other resources that support those in need. He continues to lead Sullivan’s community involvement with a special emphasis on veteran oriented non-profit organizations.

Outreach has included helping veterans with basic life necessities, improving the quality of life for Disabled American Veterans and “hands on” support for fellow veteran owned business owners regarding a myriad of issues they encounter in managing and growing their business. Over the past several years, Sullivan has donated thousands of dollars to multiple veteran originations to include Veterans of Valor, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) and other programs that are dedicated to assisting disabled veterans nationwide. Sullivan also actively recruits and participates in military and veteran recruiting programs. Additionally, in 2004, the Sullivan Children's Foundation (SCF) was founded, with the mission of improving the lives of children through education, healthcare and enhanced quality of life programs for children within the San Diego Region. The foundation quickly broadened its reach into Northern Baja Mexico and the San Francisco Bay Area.
